Well there’s a lot going on here in Ocean Township and on the Jersey Shore. For starters it was voted on this morning that yours truly, effective immediately is a Board member of the Ocean Township Chamber Of Commerce. Proudly I accepted and hope to bring a fresh outlook to the Chamber that through the Chamber with the help of other Board members, many local businesses with be able to learn and profit from our knowledge and experience in the near future. I truly enjoy my time spent with the Chamber and it’s members, in addition to the GOTCC being for a great cause, it’s an excellent outlet for networking and meeting influential people throughout our community.
On November 20th, 2008 the Chamber will be hosting it’s 20th annual Comedy Night & Gift Auction scholarship fundraiser. The event will be at the Renaissance at Rt 35 and 1110 Valley Rd. in Ocean Township. Tickets for the show are $35.00 each, 3 TOP comedians will be attending. The Chamber bi-monthly business meeting will be November 14th at Wegman’s on Rt 35 from 8am-9:30am, $10 for members, $15 for non-members.
On November 25th from 5:30pm-7:30pm the Chamber will be having a Business Card Exchange at Amboy Bank at 1910 Rt 35 South in Oakhurst. $5.00 per person.

The Adopt a Family program is going on in Ocean Township for local families in need. There are too many families that view the holiday season with dread and despair because of their financial situations, we need caring people to help us, help them out. Adopt an entire family, donate, help shop for gifts, donate a gift certificate, help with deliveries and much more. November 15th at the Stone Pony will be Funktion 11 performing who had people dancing in the streets at the Oyster Festival in Asbury. Tickets are $10 show starts at 10pm.
Two quick food recomendations from me. Viva’s in Belmar, try it, you will NOT be disappointed! Sometimes there’s a short wait at night but trust me the wait is worth it. Also, Mama Chuch in Allenhurst has EXCELLENT authentic Mexican food and only a few blocks to local beaches where you can still enjoy a walk in the nice fall weather…. ENJOY!
